Agent 8 gear has always been in the game for the amiibo.

Oh is the Agent 8 gear already in the files? Just curious

@John1414 use the particle system, click the plus button, and click on the hair option to the right. kinda like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oq0q8AmTnDU

@Galaxy's_Eclipse sorry for the late response but thank you!! I use blender and was a bit upset by the lack of gear here (I am aware they are working on it, though.)

Has anyone found a good way to make the fuzzy texture for the octolings?

@VibeCat Technically speaking, yeah. I don't know what you're using, but in Blender it's pretty easy. You just need to combine a couple of the vertex groups on the Splat2 gear and rename them to their equivalent on the Splat3 model. But you can align and attach them the same way as in the tutorial that's linked here somewhere.
It isn't perfect(I've been having issues with the Agent 8 gear, for instance), but it's good enough for posing and what-not.
Also, editing to add: the Splat2 models are sized a little differently than the Splat3 ones. Again, this might only apply to Blender, but I've found if you size the Splat3 model to 1(because they import at 0.025), then sizing the Splat2 model to 0.125 gets them to fit relatively well.

Does anyone know if gear from Splat2 is compatible with the player models for Splat3?

@Peardian: Another reason people should be thankful with what we have at the moment instead of complaining.

@Toxic Ink mouth textures are listed as "teamcolor" in the Inkling/Octoling's files

Hello, I am having a hard time finding the mouth textures. Are there files for the mouth that has been found right now are is it the same case with the Splatoon 2 models right now?

@JustSpirit: We don't allow links to external uploads of models like that since we can't guarantee the quality of them. However, we look forward to your submissions, and I apologize in advance for the amount of time you'll have to wait before we can get to them.

Just finished exporting every model in the game earlier today so I'm going to try and add missing models once I've sorted through the nearly 2k files. I would just upload the entire folder in the meantime so if people wanted a file which wasn't yet up they could try and find it but I don't know where I'd put that.

@4ish: The most important thing is that the icons are rendered with transparent backgrounds. (Editing out gray backgrounds from non-transparent renders produces ugly results.) Otherwise, as long as the model is identifiable, you are free to choose the lighting setups and camera angles you use.

@Peardian i agree with what @John1414 said, is there a specified style on how i should be making icons? i wanted to initially but i was hesitant because i wanted to fit the theme/style of the rest of the icons on the page..

@John1414 All icons are transparent.

is there a template/guide for how the icons should be made? All the icons have the same background and such, is that something submitters add?

Can’t wait till the clothing and hats get uploaded working on. Custom amiibo needs the models for 3D printing

@Peardian: Oh, that would have been tough. That's impressive to get it back down to 1,000.

@DJ_Fox11: Sadly, no. In August 2021, we got up past 5200+. It took nearly 8 months of me nearly burning myself out just to get down to 1000.

@Peardian: Wow, that's a lot of pending models! Is this the most we've ever had at once?
