I recreated this in Neverball once.
I feel like, IMO, Nintendo should have just doubled the size of the original sprite. An even 32x32 is better than a stupid 20x21.
How difficult would it have been to the player if it was accurate to the actual sprite?
Nintendo most likely free-scaled this sprite
This planet looks like an 8 year old's attempt at trying to remember mario from memory
