The rival octolings do not have a unique model. They use the octoling girl model and the "rival octoling" clothing set. The googles include the lipstick mesh.

Hey will anyone possibly be doing the rival octolings?

@Ryen-Orco try treating the gradient like a reflection map maybe? Dunno if thatll work thats just my guess
edit: it almost looks correct, just scaled incorrectly. maybe mess with the scaling of the texture that warps it?

Fuzzy ooze texture reference (out-of-context spoiler)
Here's the gradient texture.
Here's the first wave texture the game uses. (I do not recommend using this)
Edit 4: Okay, so I've put in a bit more effort, and I think I've figured out some things. The wave texture has noise added to it to make it smooth (switch toolbox is telling me that the noise_intensity value is a constant 1.455232, but I don't really know how that correlates to blender). There's also a value of vertex_noise at .769, but I'd think that that's only for distorting the fuzzy orbs, not for assembling the texture (i'm probably completely wrong though). There's also a value of wave_intensity that changes slightly constantly, but I'm pretty sure that that's just how the wave texture moves with a phase offset (essentially how the colors shift). Unfortunately, having the noise texture on the wave texture is also blurring the colors, which looks kinda stinky but is the only way to prevent the lower/non-large values (where there's large transitions of black and white right next to each other) from bleeding hard into one another. Image here, warning this looks terrible. And yeah, I tried baking the wave texture and using that as a vector, but it just resulted in gross color bleeding that I can't get rid of it.
TLDR: Don't use the init textures.
I just resorted to messing around with blender's noise and wave texture to create the texture, which looks pretty close to what it looks like in-game. Node setup/how it looks here, how it looks baked for reference. To replicate the movement of the texture, mess with the Phase Offset on the wave texture and move it around with the mapping texture node. Hopefully this helps someone.
NOTE: There's no point in recreating this for octarian/octoling eyes, as those textures are pre-baked and are in RefMat_Enm_Kebatako.

got it! tysm :)

@jcactus I removed them because I didn't rip them correctly. i actually had a ton of models that i had to remove because of that. i do know how to do it right now but just never got around to doing it again

ah ok! thank you

If they were pending before but not now, then most likely they were not approved or the submitter removed those models from the queue themselves.

quick question: weren't those city buildings from Alterna in the pending models a while ago? what happened to them? sorry if i completely missed something haha

i just took the tongue from shiver's model and put it on the octoling

@Smakkohooves yes its a shooter, but there's a lot of non-pvp-shooter content in the game. Like, there's an entire customizable locker section and stuff, plus different mode objectives with different models, and singleplayer campaign models. Splatoon is a lot more than just a shooter, in terms of content

Shouldn't locker props be sorted in their own category?
It's kind of misleading to have significantly different versions of the same thing in the same category.

Why so many items in this game? It isn't a shooter?

@TheGayBaka Works like a charm! Thank you so much!! :D

The numbers in Salmonid Names are from the in-game Manual

Yeah, why are there numbers in the names?

What's up with the numbers on the salmonid models?

@InkyRain Here's a setup I made for Murch's Hair, it kinda works but it's better than nothing https://imgur.com/a/3NKCzpQ

I hope it's not wrong to ask it here, but anybody has an idea how to set Murch's hair? Can't seem to work out the Transmission texture right, as well as I am confused about mbc texture. Been struggling with it for a month now, and any idea to set it up seemed to fail for me ^^'
Also hoping for clothing and weapons to slowly make their way out!
Also hoping for clothing and weapons to slowly make their way out!

Have the weapons all been remodelled from scratch for this game, or were most of the models ported over? I dont mean like, the splattershot or splat charger which are obviously different at a glance since those were definitely remodelled, but ones like the dapple dualies or ballpoint splatling where they dont look different
