Eh, to each their own, I suppose.
What are you on about? Gamecube era and Wii era literally used the same model for so many years. Its nice to see a model that isnt just a complete re-use. and Personally I think it looks really adorable!
I don't see what's so cute about this particular model. In fact, if I'm being honest, this is easily one of my least favorite models of Peach as far as actual designs go. She really has never looked more generic than she does in this game. It's such a stock standard model of her about which absolutely NOTHING sticks out IMO. The very antithesis of "cute".

They could have. In fact, they have done so for Mario, Luigi, and some enemies in this game. They just didn’t with Peach for some reason. The textures respective to all 3 variants of her are different from one another, too.
Oh right... couldn't they make the model without the hands and make the two hands different models? I'm pretty sure that would've been more efficient?? (Or I might be an idiot and it is like that, I haven't downloaded the model yet..)

Yeah because if the eyes where regular-sized Then the eyes won't be visible due to the low 3ds/ds Resolution. And the torso had to be a little wider
Ds models look worse than that I say 3ds.
It's a 2d platformer on 3DS, the characters are meant to be seen from very far away.

Still... The 3DS is capable of much better graphics than this... Just look at 3D Land Peach Model

I remember the model looking better in-game, it looks so DS-like here.
