does anybody know how to get the malice texture working?

@Qw2 It worked! Thanks!

@Redbird for some of the models on this page, when loading the .dae the geometry with separate UVs is a second object with the other UV map (often with the nrm assigned to diffuse), so to get the full model data back you would have to copy the UV map from the second object onto the first and assign the spm and nrm to use that second UV.

Not sure if this applies to all of the models, but the textures seem to act weirdly, at least in blender. For example, deleting the hair from the Hylian Hood turned the hood itself into a bluish-purple color (which was fixed(?) the when I closed blender and re-opened it) I thought I was connecting the textures correctly (alb to diffuse, nrm to normal, spm to specular) but half of the time it worked while the other half it messed up the uv's on the texture.

@Dark_Ansem you sure? I've only ever downloaded the default Link model but that worked fine in Blender

None of the models work in any modern viewer...

@Maxton667hunter
From Random Talking Bush (staff) Feb 16, 2018 on page 8 "there's no difference with the models from the Switch version (the polygon counts are the same, texture resolution and compression is identical)."

What is the difference with the Nintendo Switch version?

As a botw modder, I can confirm than weapon scaling is defined by Enemies/Weapons Actors (pretty late yeah, but better late than never)

@(d)emo(n): Yes, your submission should be coming up soon in the queue. Thank you for your patience.
@hendolph: Unless the enemy model has a bone in their hand with a scale value, the weapon scale might be determined by game code. And no, there is no way to batch-download models.

Since the TotK models finally got approved, I think that means my Nintendo Switch Shirt model might get approved soon. I'm really excited because I wanna help contribute to this website.
Honestly, I think before I get rid of BotW and Cemu, I'll rip the rest of Link's armor. Since I noticed a lot of it is missing here.

that's great to hear. thanks!
I've got another question regarding the botw weapon models. I recall from the game that a weapon's size scales with the character that wields it. It seems like these models sizes are scaled to link. I compared a boko club to a bokoblin model and it seemed way to small. Is there any way to figure out the scale factor for the weapons for each character? I guess I could start by using link as the base scale of 1 and then scale it up for a moblin according to its height in relation to link. Might be a bit outside of the scope for this, but I was just wondering if anyone made a similar observation.
Also, I don't suppose there is a way to batch download these models?

@Peardian Great, thank you!

It won't be much longer. Only about 300 to go before the first Tears of the Kingdom models. Unless something comes up, I should be able to get to them by no later than next month.

Well, Tears of the Kingdom may be here soon… I asked Peardian how many models away they were a few months ago, and he said a little over 1100. Since then, the site has added 1222 models, (some of which bypassed the queue by being uploaded by staff, such as the Mario wonder models). But I’m sure the Tears of the Kingdom models are pretty close by now.

How come Totk is still pending and we've already got super mario bros wonder models live??

Ain't no way they got Mario Wonder models before Totk models

ya his videos are great should check it out https://youtube.com/@KevinDAyotte?si=0hAPom9t9QF7Ns_7

@Papegadudes4 Thejubsub posted his botw shader tutorial just down below, he has a version of the image in the description of the video he linked.

Does anyone know where to find the eye shine/glint texture (those 2 white dots on the eyes) or is it a procedural texture? It's easy enough to make, I'm just wondering if it's stored somewhere because I can't find it.
