@ExoDendrite I've seen reviews of this game saying its the worst or best mario party game. But in my opinion, i love this mario party. I love it than mario party 7 (still a good mario party game through) the mic minigames, the koopa kid spaces, and the bowser time events felt annoying to me, the only board i enjoy the most is windmillville, the 8 player minigames make it very fun and all. As of mario party 8... Fantastic. The soundtrack is great, the candy transformations are awesome, the boards are awesome, (except king boo's haunted highway) the minigames are awesome, (my least favorite minigame is rubber madness, and i get that some people don't like the motion controls minigames) also it's the only game where you can play as your mii in the extras zone, by the way, this is my favorite mario party game along with mario party 6

Hot take that everyone will hate me for:
This game isn't good... but it's not bad either. It's kinda just OK. It is playable for the most part, but motion controls are EXTREMELY forced onto you, you can't use any accessories (aside from Flagging Rights which uses the Nunchuk), some motion control minigames are borderline unplayable, Chump Rope is way too unbalanced, some minigames like Rudder Madness are really boring, the graphics aren't up to par, you're forced to play in 4:3 for the main game (which I'm fine with but most people can't bear it), the CPUs still pretend that it's a GameCube game (yeah, this was originally a GameCube game Spoiler:which probably explains some of the horrible motion controls), Koopa's Tycoon Town is the only good board Spoiler:even though in reality that's just what everyone thinks, and I think Bowser's Warped Orbit is really fun too, the minigame instructions screen doesn't show you anything of help at first, the framerate is just bad, the boards drag on for too long, and Star Battle Arena (aka Story Mode) feels too forced as you need to play it TWICE to unlock the two unlockable characters, with the second playthrough requiring you to play as the character you just unlocked WHICH IS NOT TOLD TO YOU ANYWHERE. Let's be real, the only reason people love this game is because of nostalgia, playing this with their friends and family. As for the other Mario Parties, literally nobody had played them since they were on poorly-selling systems, but they were still good.
Now, does this mean you should hate the game? No. Even if the game is REALLY frustrating at times, it's still not bad. Even I find myself picking it up from time to time and playing it again. This game does have it's positives. It still had the original Mario Party formula, I LOVE MC Ballyhoo for how jolly and hearty he is, some minigames like Saucer Swarm are quite damn fun and definitely have their place, some scenes are very beautiful, this was the first game where Waluigi had a rose, this is the only Mario Party game where you can play as a Mii Spoiler:only in the Extras Zone, sadly, it has a killer soundtrack, it has some pretty good humor, Test for the Best is a good enough replacement for the Decathlon mode, the game still has it's intense moments, and... you can play as a Blooper. ...Fun.
TL;DR: It has its many issues, but it does have it's strengths. Really, nostalgia is the leading role in the love for this game.
And sorry for how long this comment is.

I don't recommend it.

@lemurboy12 I know this is a little off topic but how did you rip the models from Mario power tennis?
lemurboy12 Can the Metanoia tool also be used for the Toady's Super Mario Party design (https://www.mariowiki.com/File:SMP_Toady_transparent.png), as well as other enemy models people have yet to obtain...
actually I use Ploaj's Metanoia tool, which can export the models rigged.
https://github.com/Ploaj/Metanoia
https://github.com/Ploaj/Metanoia
to anyone reading this: to get proper model ripping, you need:
-Quick BMS + Mario Party 6 BMS script (both can be found on quickBMS website)
-Blender 2.49 (unless someone manage to update the python script provided [I just copied the download link])
-the following tool: https://zenhax.com/download/file.php?id=1289&sid=e1c38c33cd75feb1e925c6685c786bf8
(newgamefile folder goes in Blender 2.49 script folder, load after one of the 2 .blend file in blender 2.49 and run the provided script within the .blend
[for texture...I have no ideas yet how to .img --> png yet

How did you even get the models from the .hsf files?
Damn son. These models are fine lookin' for a Wii game.
Hopefully soon we can get Mario Party DS models AKA The REAL last Hudson Mario Party game
