I still think this should have been at least a voxel adaptation of all his SMB1 frames, animated accordingly. When it was first datamined I assumed it had to be unfinished and that was what the final version would be like.

I mean, personally I like the idea of just flinging a 3D 8-Bit Mario around. It looks funny to me, like just imagine flinging this Mario into sand.
