@DJ_Fox11: Sadly, no. In August 2021, we got up past 5200+. It took nearly 8 months of me nearly burning myself out just to get down to 1000.

@4ish: Due to the very high number of submissions we are currently dealing with (3300+), it will unfortunately take a few months for us to get to new submissions. While you wait, here are a few things you can do to help speed up the process:

• familiarize yourself with the submission guidelines
• download and use the Model Checker Tool to scan for potential problems in advance
• learn how to render icons in a 3D program such as Blender
• ask fellow members on the forum or Discord channel for feedback in case they notice any problems

Providing good-quality icons for your submissions is especially helpful for us. It can mean the difference between quick approval and an extra week of delay.

I know someone here mentioned writing something to automatically deal with the extra UV issues a lot of splatoon models have, but I ended up writing one myself and submitting a model cleaned with it. Not used to messing with dae files, so I want to see if it passes validation here before trying to submit more things. I put the code I made on github, but its ugly and bad atm so if you dont know how to code you will probably struggle to use it. I might clean it up and add more functionality to it if the model passes.

I was trying to get the model of Spyke from the recent DLC, but I think I'll just wait until / hope it shows up here. I've got no idea what I'm doing, hahaha.

I wouldn't say it's a "Lazy" thing, it's most likely for performance. Splatsville is laggy af compared to any other place in the game so they sort of have to make small optimisations if they don't want the switch to outright crash

Can confirm that they just copy-pasted the files from Splat 2, all animations from off the hook are present with no model changes whatsoever

Has anyone checked if the Off the hook amiibo models are insanely different from splat 2's? I was wondering if there was a major difference besides the Splatoon 3 models being smaller.
