@Centrixe the Dodo: switch toolbox allows for direct export to .dae with textures. Does .dae loose data?

So, Callie and Marie have face bones but only in the open wide smile mouth for lip edits, no jaw or eye bones so they default to the swapping method (which is very noticeable). Callie's model didn't want to export with proper face UV's until the stars aligned i guess and they work now. The squid sisters both have their idol outfits. The Frye and Shiver models currently uploaded don't have bones or vertex groups and idk how we go about fixing that. Animations can be exported (Marie has a strange unused one) but somewhere in the process they break (in blender at least). Shiver and Frye also have butt bones lel. Callie and Marie have 0 butt

@Jasper7438 I could see both happening. A pose library for the facial expressions if it's bones would be really neat

@SonicPman Now that you say that, I am very curious as to whether the player models use blend shapes or bones for their facial expressions.

It's gonna be exciting once the Inklings and Octolings are ripped, they got facial flexes :0

@Noah Infinity I think it kind of switches back and forth, I've noticed (especially in the last cutscene of hero mode) really smooth mouth movements for the player but in the plaza they use the dif mouth models technique (or maybe the transition is just much more harsh?), I dont remember about the npcs tho, I know marie's mouth movements seemed really sharp

@Noah Infinity:In blender to get the TLC working, get a MixRGB node put the TCL into the factor put the ALB into Color 1 then put the color you want into Color 2.

@SlushyMushy I think it's still separate face models. The model animations in the news room as well as the Hero Mode looked jerky enough to look like models being swapped rapidly. And they also have different mouth models in the rips as I've seen from messing around in Blender. Ah well, they improved on the eyes at least.

Ok so I may have been a little dingus and completely forgot how to use tcl textures to get colour onto the models. Any help??

I had added the game to this category too early and it got removed and now it's back and there's already rips??
