@RiffOsci @xAct Squidnodes exists for S2 stuff.....but of course, not 3, as of yet.

OsFortyTwo Dec 12, 2022 2:11 PM

I'm rather surprised if the Rival Octolings are as described in these comments, since in prior games they use a variant of the Inkling girl model with their own kit. I'll take a snoop in toolbox.
Regardless, I think the additions are enough to warrant being uploaded.

OsFortyTwo Dec 12, 2022 2:06 PM

@RiffOsci I was actually gonna do that, but I have no idea how it works myself. If anyone has an example shader I could probably make a script out of it.

xAct Dec 12, 2022 1:17 AM

Made me wish that someone created a Blender add-on that can easily convert Splatoon 3's shader files (Like the fuzzy ooze shader) and whatnot to a bunch of nodes, that'll get rid of the painful hours.

Will we get the clothing models riped from sp3 so we don't have to use and edit the sp2 models

EmberInk Dec 11, 2022 1:02 PM

How long does it usually take for something on the pending list to get reviewed? Just curious, and I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask

CrownGamer901 Dec 10, 2022 8:39 PM

You can click on "Pending Models: #" for the list of pending models, but the models themselves cannot be viewed or downloaded.

is there a way to see pending models?

John1414 Dec 10, 2022 3:23 AM

Just a reply on what i asked on the 2nd soooo will someone be doing the rival octoling set?

Deleted User Dec 10, 2022 2:43 AM

@dan1209 i use the dynamic sky addon in blender. its very powerful but I recommend watching a tutorial first though

Desper_Octo Dec 9, 2022 6:41 PM

I got the .smd for one of the animations into blender but it stays grounded instead of jumping in the air like it should. is there a way to fix it or do I need to manually make it do that manually?

Desper_Octo Dec 9, 2022 6:40 PM

Yeah, there is unique hair and pants that are not uploaded here yet. (Fun fact: their shirt also has all the animations used during the story mode cutscenes/idle).

Ryen-Orco Dec 8, 2022 7:21 PM

They do have unique hair textures with scars though.

@MLB90 Agent 3 seems to be the player model because there is no dedicated model in the game files. If you have a Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion savegame on your switch, Agent 3 in Splatoon 3 will match the one that you have played.

dan1209 Dec 8, 2022 2:29 PM *

Would it be possible to create a HDRI like the ones from polyhaven to set the lighting and background in blender as it is in the splatoon city area?

dan1209 Dec 8, 2022 7:26 AM

I just realized recently that the old Agent 3 who's now the new captain of the New Squidbeak Splatoon isn't even on the pending list, and it didn't even cross my mind since the game launched. O.O

MLB90 Dec 8, 2022 2:15 AM

@Jasper7438 all i heard was that its possible to make a crossover model of the rival octolings and normal octolings

Desper_Octo Dec 5, 2022 7:49 PM

The rival octolings do not have a unique model. They use the octoling girl model and the "rival octoling" clothing set. The googles include the lipstick mesh.

Jasper7438

Dec 2, 2022 1:01 PM

Hey will anyone possibly be doing the rival octolings?

Deleted User Dec 2, 2022 8:27 AM

@Ryen-Orco try treating the gradient like a reflection map maybe? Dunno if thatll work thats just my guess
edit: it almost looks correct, just scaled incorrectly. maybe mess with the scaling of the texture that warps it?
