@alyzxh I can send you a version of Jel la Fleur I textured later today :)

jcactus Jan 23, 2023 4:05 PM

how do you use 2cl textures?

bljmaster64 Jan 23, 2023 3:50 AM

may someone help me texture the jel la fleur model? i dont understand what resc and fxm mean

alyzxh Jan 22, 2023 8:25 AM

could someone help me get the textures and normals and stuff working for the steelhead model in blender?

Krocodile55 Jan 20, 2023 9:33 PM

@John1414 Thank you! Ive been wanting to get into game ripping so this is certainly a good reason to start!

CrumbsInBed Jan 18, 2023 2:20 PM

@EmberInk you can adjust the strength of the effect using one of the node's sliders, anywhere between 0.1 and 0.5 can work well depending on the conditions.

PastaOwO Jan 12, 2023 10:02 AM

@CrumbsInBed if you know how to rip models there is a file called InkTextures that has a bunch of ink spray textures in it. I have only found one model in the files for ink which is called Ink_Slosher_Strong

John1414 Jan 11, 2023 8:48 PM

@ EmberInk: The purple glow is caused by the M_Hair_Hlt.png , unfortunately there is no way too fix it. Squidnodes doesn't currently handle that effect correctly.

AndroNerd Jan 11, 2023 1:17 AM

However, I now seem to be having an issue where there is this purple glow https://pasteboard.co/nB2tbTe6fQNW.png It appears to be caused by the M_Hair_Hlt.png but is still also required for the squidnode to work

EmberInk Jan 10, 2023 1:02 PM

Is there a mesh/texture for the ink that shoots out of the guns?

CrumbsInBed Jan 7, 2023 6:51 AM

Bro look at the difference (for hair) https://pasteboard.co/ftzneoQWiDJw.png

EmberInk Jan 4, 2023 3:26 PM

@PastaOwO Thanks so much, I followed a tutorial to do it manually, and let's just say it was ok.

EmberInk Jan 4, 2023 2:40 PM

@jcactus I actually did just try the armature deform a few minutes ago to see if maybe I did something wrong earlier but the shirt remains its small size on the Splatoon 2 model (I'd add a picture but I have no idea how)

CrownGamer901 Jan 4, 2023 2:34 AM

@CrownGamer901

I'm still relatively new to Blender, but you could try using armature deform?? I use this handy tutorial somebody here made when I forgot any of the steps:

https://www.vg-resource.com/thread-40995.html
(Additional little tutorial for s2 clothes to s3 models, maybe it'd help?: https://www.vg-resource.com/thread-41208.html)

jcactus Jan 4, 2023 2:02 AM

@IntoTheLight It does actually! Thank you so much!

Now I need to learn/figure out how to make the clothing not revert to its original small size when attaching it to the model lol. I started learning Blender this past month and still am not sure of all the ins and outs of it ?

Thank you for the help!

CrownGamer901 Jan 3, 2023 9:59 PM

@CrownGamer901 I believe that the splatoon 2 models are 8 times as big as the splatoon 3 ones. I could be wrong, this is just from my memory of seeing something long ago. Hope this helps!

IntoTheLight Jan 3, 2023 7:12 PM

Does anyone know if it's possible to put Splatoon 3 clothing on Splatoon 2 models in Blender? I know that the armatures/bones have different names between the two games, I think my main issue is I have no idea how to resize the clothing to fit the model. I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask but I'm really stumped on how to do it lol

CrownGamer901 Jan 3, 2023 5:09 AM

@EmberInk Heya! The documentation on how to use Squidnodes can be found here:https://github.com/PastaOwO/Squidnodes/wiki
Thank you for using my addon :D

PastaOwO Jan 3, 2023 1:39 AM

@dan1209: You can, but hope that Nintendo's ninjas don't find them. w

AndroNerd Jan 2, 2023 8:36 AM

@Desper_Octo I have converted them to .SMD files with SwitchToolbox and would share them :)
