Picky audiences, LOL
That I'm not sure. But what i DO know is that he was originally supposed to have a British voice in Magic Railroad, but test audiences thought his voice actor sounded too scary so they switched him out. The new voice actor originally did his lines with a Russian accent, but test audiences thought that was too racist so he made him Brooklyn instead.
What really confuses me is how this guy went from having a Brooklyn accent in Magic Railroad to having a British accent in literally all of his other appearances. Was he just faking the accent in his first appearance or something?
@B1uelight Nope. He came back several times. He appeared in the specials Calling All Engines and Day of the Diesels, he shows up at the end of Misty Island Rescue, and appears in the season 17 episode, The Missing Christmas Decorations.
Now my subconscious is telling me that I have to add Diesel 10 to Mario Kart 8 with this model
Wow, they brought this guy back in the modern age? I figured he was a one-off character for that one movie, destined to only be remembered by a select few 2000's kids.
