Dance Dance Revolution with Mario. That's what the game is about, and it's even the exact Japanese title. What more could you want? Not only is the dancing super goofy, but the music tracks in this game are genuine BANGERS. I LOVE IT!

It basically reuses many of the same models and animations as the GC Mario Parties (I.e. 4-7 as well as 8) due to all of these games being developed by Hudson. It's a nice example of a company reusing assets to save time and money when working on a different game.
