It's crazy just how much the Mini-Turbo stat changed in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. In all prior Mario Kart games (including the original Mario Kart 8), the Mini-Turbo stat simply determined the amount of frames you get from a Mini-Turbo boost, while in 8 Deluxe, it determines not only that, but also how fast the Mini-Turbo can be charged, how powerful the Mini-Turbo itself is, and even the power of Trick boosts. So it's no surprise that all those changes made Mini-Turbo the most important stat in the game.
