Is that common practice when modeling? As I noticed for characters with tails, will 9/10 times have the tail sticking straight out in a line. As that makes rigging it/posing it easier than rigging it already in the proper pose. So is modeling with eyes half closed the way todo it? (I'm kinda learning to model and keeping notes :) )
Default poses will often look weird. They probably modelled the characters with their eyes closed by default. Modellers will model characters with their eyes half / completely shut to make it easier to rig/morph later. That or the eyelid is a separate mesh on top.
