Supersponge if it was on N64
this model and the prototype version of him are probably the best spongebob models ever made

Best Model of Spongebob
I wouldn't be surprised if this was in a early ps2 game. This is a pretty good model.
Kinda unessacerry since it's around 4800 tries but whatever

Actually good!
I'm gonna make some 3D versions and a better non low quality SpongeBob sprites. I'd recommend myself doing his idle poses like where he changes faces then burns to ashes
Time to make pre-rendered sprites out of this model
that is very true
There’s only one SpongeBob game for PlayStation 1.
they are pre-rendered, there's a early model meant for use in-game, but it was scrapped for some reason
Ok, cool. It’s a bit high quality for a PSX game.
Anyway, did Climax do a similar modelling trick to what HAL did with Mr. Game & Watch (literally model a ‘shell’ around the character) to give SpongeBob a black ‘outline?’

this is the original model taken from the source code
Was this model actually used in the game, or are SpongeBob’s sprites just pre-rendered from this model?
his limbs are different color than his body
I'm surprised there's actually a model of this. Only ever played the GBA version.

I wonder how the arms were fixed? My rip had broken texturing on its arms. Also, you should rip the 2 early ones. They're in Sponge Bob Disc 1.
Now, if they did this instead of attempt to model everyone in Operation: Krabby Patty with the low budget modelling techniques of the time, I'd have considerably less nightmares.
This looks surprisingly good for a late PS1 release, not quite PS2 but certainly among those lines.
