Just for curiosities sake, are there any similar model+animation converter projects being made for World (200)3 as of so far? Or could the current DW2 model converter be updated to support World (200)3 in the near future? I'm only asking since i know World (200)3 also uses binary files for 3D models just like World 2 does.

@DigitalDiamal yes they absolutely can be rigged.

@digidude Can they be rigged? I don't want them to end up as .obj unless that's the format it can only come out as for now.

@DigitalDiamal you can use Noesis, I'm sure your laptop could handle it:
https://richwhitehouse.com/index.php?content=inc_projects.php&showproject=91
Noesis is a free 3D models viewer/ importer/ exporter. and it suport gltf format and a lot of other.
Then you can use the tools I mentioned earlier to extract all the digimons and import them with Noesis, after that you can export (convert) them to another format and upload them to model-resources, it's really easy.

@digidude I saw it from a account somewhere.
Sadly, I wish I could rip models, but my laptop will not handle Blender, if I can rip, you would've seen submissions from me by now.

@DigitalDiamal if you already know about those tools, what are you waiting to upload all digimons ?

@airshuffler excellent job, the best way is to upload two files at time, one .obj with just the textured model in T pose or whatever basic pose is available in the model, and another in .gltf (or .fbx or .dae) that contain the full model with all animations. like with FF3 models avalaible here:
https://www.models-resource.com/ds_dsi/finalfantasyiii/

I managed to rip the models from Digimon World 1 with the tool @digidude posted. They come in .gltf format and have textures and animations built in, should I upload them here in that format or do I need to do anything else?

@digidude I already knew of this before you made your comment. But this would be great help for others on this site who don't know about those at all.

For Digimon World 2, here is a tool that can extract all digimons models with one command line in gLTF format:
https://gitlab.com/jype/dw2_model_converter
you can downlload it here:
https://gitlab.com/jype/dw2_model_converter/-/releases
then you can convert it to any format you like (.dae, .fbx, .obj) with 3D tools such blender or online, and upload it to models resources.
here is another nice DW2 hacking tool:
https://github.com/acemon33/DW2-TT
you can download it here:
https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/1723/
@DigitalDiamal your wish has been granted.
enjoy all !

Here is a tool that can extract all digimons models and their animations with one command line:
https://github.com/Operation-Decoded/DW1ModelConverter
you can downlload it here:

Here is another tool to view digimon world models and their animations online, it is based on first tool:
https://dw1-viewer.vercel.app/
this is the original post where I found it:
https://www.reddit.com/r/digimon/comments/16upccd/digimon_world_classic_3d_models_with_texture/
those tools are available from some time already, weird nobody noticed them.
anyway, enjoy.

For what i know, the Korean PC version models are exactly same as the PS1 models, so there's no need for those. Plus, the PC version is very difficult to find these days, since there wasn't too many copies printed, for what i understand.

I discovered that there is a PC version of Digimon World only for Korea, would it be easier to extract the models from that PC version?

Kids Station: Digimon Park has all the main Digimon from first 3 seasons with their evolutions (as much as they go in animes that is). Worthy checking it out. I was doing it myself, but my knowledge about PSX textures is next to none and simply dumping them one by one is tedious.

Wait... I wonder, did Digimon Card game on PSX had 3d models? Wonder if they are stored in basic TMD/TIM duo... Hmm. I need to check.

Aw that's a shame, I really like the World 3 models in particular.

World 2 and World 3 models are lot more harder to extract, since at least what i've seen,
those are stored as binary files, so that's why extracting those are not as easy as with World 1 models.

If they manage to extract Digimon World 2 Models I will scream, loud

@DigitalDiamal Glad to see they were accepted, I will continue to rip them in the upcoming days. Luckilly for you those two are ripable (99% sure) because they don't use transparency which translate weirdly into Blender, so until I find a way to fix this transparency problem I can only rip 14 models.

Looking forward to seeing this monstrosity pop up one day.
