@MonadoBoy16: I haven't edited that comment in any way, though.

@Random Talking Bush: But I saw the original comment, and it didn’t mention the less polygon count

@MonadoBoy16: I mentioned that already. ("...and Y-L's model has a bit more than double the polygon count").

@Random taking Bush: This one also has lower polygons than the Yooka-Laylee one.

@nroeluhi Honestly I prefer the Yooka-laylee model. It resembles Shovel Knights original design a lot better, especially with the horns, and considering that model was made by Yacht Club themselves like Retro64 said, that's not a big surprise.

@nroeluhi The funny thing is the Yooka-Laylee model was actually made by Yacht Club Games, Playtonic only rigged it & animated it, the model work was all done in-house (stated in Yacht Club's website: https://yachtclubgames.com/2016/09/shovel-knight-joins-yooka-laylee/). Makes me wonder who made this model, probably Nintendo since it looks so good.

You can tell which one is from Smash, because it looks infinitely better than the one from Yooka.

@DrFault: Nope! Here's a comparison of both -- Smash on the left and Yooka-Laylee on the right). UV mapping is completely different and Y-L's model has a bit more than double the polygon count, never mind the fact everything's modelled differently. Doesn't match the Runner3 model either.

I wonder if this model is taken from Yooka-Laylee, they look really similar to me. Can anyone check this?

"Here's your participation trophy."
Go assist yourselves, lol.

Personally, I wish he wasn't even in the game, but that's just how I feel.

Sure, he may not be playable, but people should atleast be glad that he was even acknowledged at all in Smash.
(Granted, Nintendo publishing his game in Japan probably had something to do with it, but still)
