When he presses the button on the remote? It blows up the bomb which blows up the player character out of the stage. Most likely as a fail safe if Bomberman gets too many hits.
When is that remote used?

@Rainbow Question Mark: Not quite, the UV mapping was redone and his eyes have twice the amount of polygons. But yes, they are essentially the same model otherwise.

The Bomberman model used in Ultimate is the exactly identical to his model in Super Bomberman R
