when i try to use the bone constraint to connect the hair to the head, it connects, but is off at the wrong angle and rotation. the first time i attempted this it worked fine, and the hair stayed connected, but i cannot get it to work anymore. im pretty new to blender, does anybody know what i could be doing wrong?

thank you! i actually just figured it out..... i accidentally toggled deform... oops

For an easy way to put clothing on Splatoon models see here: https://www.vg-resource.com/thread-40995.html
I wrote this for Splatoon 2 models but it works just the same for Splatoon 3 models.
Note: This only works with player models and clothing from the same game.

note: i copied what I did on the right foot (which worked perfectly fine) so i'm confused why this foot is broken

i'm having some issues with getting the left shoe to work with the female octoling's foot, any tips?
sorry for the messy links, i'm new here (and to this)

Can the fuzzy texture from the ball form be used to make a fuzzy Octoling? (Not a one to one of course but similar?)

@aurumantem they might be talking about the ones that aren't solid colors (m_eye_alb.15 through m_eye_alb.20), and have the ring around them/colored pupils(?)
if so, i'm pretty sure they're set up just how regular eyes are @mikegoutokujiii

What do you mean by the cool eyes?

how does one set up the cool eyes ?

I keep commenting for help and then getting my issue to work- anyways I go the eyebrows working LOL

im having some issues with the last eyebrow textures. I can't find them for the life of me (check the EyeB folder aswell....)

jcactus, it should just be a texture named "m_eye_alb.##"

im having some trouble setting up the female eyes, is there a specific head/face texture for it?

Also, This is my hair shader I use for most of my models, it's mostly a mash up of other shader setups I have seen

Make sure you select "Set Inverse" and if that doesn't fix the issue, apply a copy location modifier after the child of modifer

@Aurumantem i've tried using that for the bone constraint but it didn't completely go onto the head and flipped to the side

SlushyMushy, it should just be Head

does anybody know what the head root bone is called/ how to attach the hair to the head properly? i cant seem to find it :C

For anyone looking to attach the clothes: Use a Child Of bone constraint in Pose Mode (The blue bone tab on the right). Select the bodies armature, and then select the bone of the same/similar name. Chances are you will need a Copy Location or Copy Rotation constraints to fix any weird issues that might crop up.
For both the hair and player model, select the head bone and rotate the bone to face up, then press ALT+R to clear roll.
You should now be able to use the "Copy Transforms" bone constraint with no issues.
