Not complaining about it, far from it. It feels great being able to just dunk the model as is into an animation and have it come out looking like the ones I normally have to spend time adding that stuff myself. It just seems a little odd considering there weren't any notable appearances of Charizard in S/V so the model in-game went to waste.
Maybe it was the first model they made under S/V's new system to test it out how flexible they could make them, before having to cut back for the rest of the creatures.
