Probably not even close to how it's supposed to be done, but for now this is something I found to make the eyes look like they do in-game. https://i.imgur.com/OtnzYiy.png

The uploads here include an eye texture labeled "composite." I think they used photoshop rather than Blender nodes to combine the eye textures.
How in the world do we make the eyes look the way they're supposed to? I've gone through almost the entire Blender node list, but I ~am~ dumb.
Well, if they added this guy to Mario Kart, they wouldn't have to lengthen his arms!
