Can anyone help me extract tracks correctly? For some reason, using both 3dsmax and switch toolbox all texture exports, model, vertex colors etc., but i get NO 2ND UV. This means that especially for the newer dlc tracks, which are mostly flat, there is basically no shading cause there is no uv to input the baked maps/ambient occlusion textures. Anyone knows if there are other tools, updates, hidden methods or else? I would love to get them to work properly...

@dlfon99: I warned you, you have a massive work waiting for you (all DLC tracks are color swatch only..ye, it's a real pain)

@rveyrand I'm looking at Paris Promenade now. Oh my god, would it have killed Nintendo to hire texture artists for this DLC? Color swatches are great for a heavily stylized shading, but MK8 is built to shade things as realistically as a 2013 game engine could. What few things are textured, the 'texture artist' stopped at the blocking in phaze of drawing. I'm going to have to do a whoooole lot of manual UV unwrapping and texture painting.

to dlfon99: you gonna have a lot of work to do then, because all tracks uses basic color swatches instead of actual textures (no wonder why they are eye hurting)

I am looking forward to the booster tracks being ripped. I wanna try updating the dlc courses by transplanting trees from base game courses, reworking bushes entirely- might even have to do some remodeling and texture creation for assets like the Eiffel Tower. If I do, I'll try uploading to the custom/edited. I think for the trees I'll have to isolate one, then I'm going to create a rig for it in blender with the shrinkwrap modifier on the bone for the base of the tree to make it bend and conform to the terrain of wherever I place it.

@LukeWarnut I know that it isn't uncommon for wii u versions of games to have more compressed textures compared to their switch deluxe counterparts. Are the textures the same? [not that this warrants a reupload, far from it]
