"That's-a so nice!"
i feel like this mario model is the most mario looking model to the point they used it all the way to the wii era but with a couple of edits along the way
Does it come with animations?
Thank you but is this the same 3d model from sm64ds and that is why both Mario model from nsmbds and sm64ds looks quite similar (for me it seems like the Mario from sm64ds has higher resolution on the textures) and why the heads and bodies of these models are seperated? (head is one model and body is one model)
It might also be worth noting that the fire palette for Mario's cap is also missing.
I was able to rip it, so I might update this submission along with Luigi later down the line with the correct files.
As well as their SM64DS models since those DO have differences worth submitting separately, the model that's been ripped of Yoshi for example is from the "Loves Me" minigame rather than his in-game model.

When I download the model then there is just the default face (file name: mario_eye_1). But didn’t Mario have more face textures? Like the blinking face textures or the dying face texture? The shocked‑looking death face (wide texture as shown in The Texture Resource). Cropping could work but most people surely wants it pixel perfect if they want this texture though.
that's-a so nice-a
@DragonBreath Yeah!
Anyone else thought Mario said "thank you tonight" at the end of levels?
"That's-a so nice!"? More like "Thank you so nice-a!"...
@SuperKonaBros I'd beg to differ, I find the art style of Mario 64 DS/NSMB very charming, and it is mostly because of the textures giving the model most of the detail instead of the polygons
this looks exactly like the double dash model. they probably reused the model and lowered the texture resolution
@KartMakerBrosU The Blue Shell model is actually in the Items section and Mario's small model is in the .zip folder. The Fire Mario texture is in the .zip folder too.
NSMB interestingly has higher poly models than SM64DS for Mario and Luigi's regular models, but used lower poly models from SM64DS as the base for the small models, textures are also a little differently compressed.
This rip seems to be missing Mario's head texture for his fire form and Luigi is missing a lot of content in his rip too, might try updating both of the brothers once I figure out how to rip the alternate palettes for Mario and Luigi's clothing

That’s a so nice
Im 100% sure they reused the character models from 64 DS for the reappearing characters in this game, aside from Peach.
Wait was this the same model used in New Super Mario Bros. DS?
I’m gonna use this for my Super Mario 64 DS rom hack “Super Duper Mario 64 DX”
good textures don't fit low poly models
here i go
