yeah, i'd say that's what made the initial (original) sonic model look odd in comparison to the older ones.
I think I know what you mean... in that case, I'll adjust the shape of the brows a bit more to see if I can get them less squarish and fit them a bit better using the "Circle Theory" method.
to be honest, the face looks odd still. it could be the way the eyes look, with them still being wide and square-like on the brow part.
This design gets reused in:
Sega Superstars Tennis
Sonic Generations
Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing
Sonic Colors
Sonic 4 Episode I
Sonic 4 Episode II
Mario and Sonic Tokyo 2020

Ah yes the perfect Sonic model
I bet someone can mod that model, that looks perfect
Fun fact: Sonic's model in Unleashed was actually built off of his model from Heroes (albeit poorly subdivided).
It was supposed to resemble an HD model of Yuji Uekawa's art, but due to the game of telephone that occurred in all of this, Sonic's ears melted, his muzzle shrunk too much to fit, and a lot of shaping language was lost...
That being said, there has been confirmed talks of ditching the "Forces" design for a remodel. So it's likely that our favorite "Felix the Cat"-inspired blue Hedgehog in boots is gonna get a good future!
In the meantime, I did a model edit for the fun of seeing how close I can get the Unleashed/"Hedgehog Engine 1" model to resemble Uekawa's art. Will share the model once it's done!

If this is an Authentic Rip™, then you cannot move the mouth. That's handled ingame.
That's how the eyes are done too, but you can move them with a little Shader Node magic. I'd put "Blender Vector Transform" in a Google search.

How do you move the mouth?
I prefer the old render. But it’s cool.
how do you move his eyes and open his mouth????
Huh, looks like this was updated recently. At least, the render definitely was.
i know how to fix the grey texture problem
if u open up fragmotion and open up the texture pane and open the textures on the blank images and save it as whatever u want

@ShadowDan92 The eyes are actually animated via .uv-anim files in the game, since they are textures.
@Geo try the dae file it works.
How can i move the eyes? They aren't rigged
blender wont accept it lmao, it has to be fbx 7100
