...I mean, the readme even stated that it was based off of the Melee model, also I feel I need to emphasize the "Edited" in "Custom / Edited". There's enough changes to the model to make it stand out as an edit and not just a retexture, which can be seen if you put both models side-by-side.

Well, the entire lower half of the face looks different from Melee's, and he might be a bit fatter too.
Honestly kit-bashing the Raccoon Mario and Mario trophy models from Melee and attempting to make a coherent T-pose of said Kit-bash probably would've ended up with a model closer to the original artwork than editing the Melee model.
the mustache is slightly smaller than the Melee model . . . but other than that, it's the same thing but with flat textures.

I don't like this model, it's literally just the Melee model. It should look more like this.

This reminds me so much of the models used for N64 era artwork.
