What a fab man!

Looks like he's about to dance.

Legitimately really impressive

Now that's cool.

Hey look, it's Cab Calloway!

Crap. Well, I had been rigging it since 4 days ago, and CRAP. Well, I guess it'll just be a npc and pm then

@Supermario11000: Already been done.

Can I port this to gmod? I will credit you and post link to this page. I'm that guy who also ported the cuphead and Mugman models to gmod and made them npcs

good job !

@Filler
This is amazing.
I wish I had modeling skills like you.

nice

Alright, I've cleared up what was happening before. It's the case of a model that looks similar, but is not exactly the same.
Either way, it's a simple misunderstanding, and it's cleared up now.

So let me get this straight?
Just because someone from DevaintArt (Where art theft is common) says "I made this", it clearly means I didn't make this? I guess I'll settle this "debate"
Here's some facts and history of this model:
6 days ago, a user by the name of "Fillertheuser" posted this to Reddit.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Cuphead/comments/755k0t/been_working_on_this_3d_king_dice_for_4_hours/
Also to add, there's a Sketchfab link there near the bottom of the comments by this so-called "Fillertheuser", this model was uploaded a day after the Reddit post:
https://sketchfab.com/models/73e5dc760ab84bd1b3013189206257b6
In the commments, this scary "Filler" man replies to someone asking if the model will be posted somewhere. This magical entity simply says "the Models Resource website". Same avatar and everything as what I'm posting here.

If it isn't smack in the face obvious, these are all same user. The same one writing this comment.
Also, sonicjeremy's lack of factual information other than saying this was posted on DeviantArt is simply not enough information on this model.
Hallow also adds another point of saying there's no custom models of this character uploaded to DeviantArt (yet, seeing how that site is). And it's pretty odd to assume theft that after this information is given.
Even if it ever is uploaded to DA, the date will probably be after I posted this.
EDIT: Sorry about the semi-pessimist behavior in this post. I just woke up, and seeing this isn't something I like to see.

@Pixarrzi and sonicjeremy: The only model I found was one on Sketchfab posted at the same time the model was waiting in the queue for. And it was also by Filler.
As Hallow said, don't just accuse someone of theft if you've got nothing to back up your claims.
(EDIT: After a bit of back-and-forth, it appears to be just a coincidence?)

@sonicjeremy @pixarrzi If you're going to accuse somebody of this, please provide evidence. I can't find any custom models of this specific character anywhere on deviantart and I've been searching for quite a bit.

@Filler Hey, this isn't your model. I know for a fact you didn't make this, please give credit to the original creator, including links to his deviantart. Taking credit for that creators work is wrong.

Happy people enjoy my model.
I made this right when I saw this character. As he's pretty much my favorite character in the game from a design standpoint.
Anyways, I'll explain how quickly I made this:
* Modeling - 3-4 hours
* UV seaming - 20-ish mins
* Texturing (It was mostly rendering the solid materials with ambient occlusion bakes for some minor texture enhancements) - 30 mins (Most of it was rendering)
* Normal maps (I actually just used the GIMP canvas filter and a normal map plugin to make them, then rendered them) - about 15 mins.
If anyone wants, I'll make a lower-poly version of his model suitable for Brawl and Smash 4 modding. As I know that's a thing, and maybe some people would like that.
EDIT: Please tell me if the .obj export crashes on whatever editor you use, as I've been beta testing a plugin on Blender that exports a modified obj export/import format that crashes on any other plugin, and I may have used that version of .obj (If you're wondering, this version of .obj is modified to support vertex painting and internal support for material settings in Blender)
