why does he look lower poly than luigi
Okay nobody cares but I just have to defend this model, it's not bad at all, it jut wasnt meant to be seen from those angles, with the angles in game it looks perfect, they gave him more "classic" proportions, this was basically a mario wonder attempt a decade earlier
Update: I decided to boot up the game, I forgot they made him fatter for the Tanooki form, but the bigger eyes are to be visible on the tiny screen

Why is Small Mario built like Boom Boom?
not bad for a 3ds model
It's because it's a 3DS Model, you can't see it from this close.
This model does looks a bit poorly made
@SpoonBlueShirt
I guess the gloves are too big?

so uh. when's luigi?
goodness me little Mario has some big hands
@ToastedWilliam912 The UVs are not actually messed up. NSMB2 (and Wii) like to set the textures to a setting called "Mirror" where stuff outside of the texture just use a mirrored copy of the image. This prevents the texture having to be twice as big with a mirrored image like the New Super Mario Bros (DS) models, which saves file space and is more "efficient" from a developer standpoint.
Somebody needs to fix the daes uvs
