Anyone know if models can be extracted from the 20,000 Avatar item WAD files that were dumped on Archive recently? I can't figure out any way to convert them into any type of model extension.
The 2018 ones are gonna be sunset in about 15 days
R.I.P. Avatar Marketplace & Xbox live Arcade (2005-2024)
The only way to extract these models is through the "Xbox Original Avatars" app. I tried using Ninja Ripper (Ver. 2.0.5) and it was not possible because it just freezes when choosing ".Ink". If anyone has time and can help me open it with Ninja Ripper, please contact me and I can help extract the models. I think it would be important to save these models before closing the store.

Thanks to Meat Boy himself being available in the store as a avatar accessory, this is his only 3D model that's official.
@wolfman1231 I'd guess with Ninja Ripper and an Xbox 360 emulator like Xenia. I never tried Ninja Ripper with Xenia btw.
How do I rip models from the Xbox 360 Marketplace? I know the 3D Viewer is gone. but there has to be a way to rip those models?

Would it be possible for anybody to rip those super rare Troll Head and other similar meme masks? They were only available for a short time and I really want to see them preserved. There's no high quality stuff showing the masks, either.
The "Xbox Original Avatars" app on the Windows Store has a built-in model viewer, which seems to use some Unity-related stuff to render the models.
Could there theoretically be more ways to rip these models? For example through the Xbox 360 itself, it would require tons more effort but at least you could still get them.
If anyone gives me a link to a prop, I'll rip it for you. I can't do outfits though.

This may be my final batch of models from Avatar Marketplace. They were leftover rips from before they removed the in-browser viewer.
I think they may have deliberately removed the 3D viewer because of this.
