@Farmer Wii: The Link's Awakening remake isn't Unreal Engine 4 either...

@xXxHoshiixXx The second article you linked to is in reference to the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, not New Super Mario Bros. U. The remake of Link's Awakening was made in UE4. NSMBU was not.

Edit: I stand corrected

No, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe does not use Unreal Engine, it uses literally the same engine that most of Nintendo's other games use.

@xXxHoshiixXx: Are you sure New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe uses the Unreal Engine? Judging by the game's files, it looks more like the game uses the same engine New Super Mario Bros. U uses (or at least something similar).

I know that Nintendo uses a load of shaders to make their models to look smoother and better. But even sometimes the raw Nintendo Switch models look MUCH better than that. Honestly even when Nintendo did use Unreal Engine 4 to make SMBUDX, the output in UE4 is usually MUCH better than that. Ah, well, I guess that you get what you're given....

Edit: And yes, you can get an official Unreal Engine 4 Nintendo Switch SDK. Since Nintendo has done a partnership with Epic Games. If you don't believe me, (which I know most of you don't), click here. Oh, and click here if you don't beleive me on the fact that Super Mario Bros. U DX was made with the UE4 Nintendo Switch devkit. :3
