Any news? I couldn't figure out how to properly use that BMS script, but even then I realized I wouldn't be able to import the BFRES without 3DSMax.

So I used EveryFileExplorer to extract the .narc for Walugi (as ThatTrueStruggle said could be done), and I'm left with everything but a .bfres model.
The only thing I see that could be a model is a CBFMD file. Everything else seems to do with animations.
(RTB's post hijack: Still can't post anything for myself yet! But this QuickBMS script will decompress those files.)

Can you put the Donkey Kong model, as well as yoshi!?

So excited for the girls, Boo, and the rest!

You guys do realize the NARC format is the exact same as the DS format so you can open it in EveryFileExplorer, right?

after the last update, I hope they don't do pokemon

I believe so. It may take a while because most of the rippers are working on other projects/commissions at the same time. We will just have to be patient until then.

@Irastris I sure hope so

So... are more models being worked on?

@Kajabberguy OOPS FORGOT TO POST SOMETHING HERE. Yeah, better be more careful next time.

@nobody231 thanks for trying. you should ask next time though.

@Irastris Wait is this against the rules!? I better stop before I get in trouble! I've been too nice, I guess I better stop.
EDIT: Dammit that was his script I better delete that off of the comments...

@nobody231: Uhh oh, looks like Random Talking Bush saw that. :P

@Richhobo EDITED OUT, I MESSED UP
The BMS script needs to be used on the largest file in the folder. For example, on the largest file that shares the name of the character you want to rip, use the BMS script. The output file is really just a BRFES file, that should be the one you need to use the importer on. The autotexture importer might not automatically import textures for you, so use the other QuickBMS script to extract the textures.
EDIT: If you ever need me to extract the BRFES models for you, just PM me those.

@Irastris Thanks for the heads up! I am very experienced with 3DS Max and Blender. It''s just that creating scripts aren't my cup of tea lol. Luckily I have a friend who is working on one right now (sigh) which saves me a lot of time. I do plan on learning how to make scripts in the future though. I'm too lazy to learn how to make them myself :P But Ive heard it's quite easy once you get the hang of it.
@nobody231 Okie dokie ! ^^

what software are the models used for

@Richhobo: Unfortunately, RandomTalkingBush seems to prefer MAXScript over BMS scripts for extracting models, leaving non-3DSMax users behind.
No I don't hate him for it, it's what he understands and can program for, it's just sad that it's not the most accessible thing.

@nobody231 Huge thanks if you send them!

Hmm...I have been looking at the files for Ultra Smash and I am guessing the models appear to be in .Narc format which are located in content/model/character folder, including stages which are located in the Court folder. The .Narc format seems to be a known format for NDS games. I seem to be missing something on my part. Random Talking Bush stated that it uses BFRES format like MK8 and many other games. My guess is that a bms script must be created in order to do so. I am horrible at writing scripts lol. Hopefully he will release it within the near future. I too would like to lend a helping hand if necessary. @nobody2312 may I also request the FBX files if you wouldn't mind?
