best model lowkey besides brawl and unleashed

@somekingdofygofan actually this is a high definition secret rings sonic model

this is just a high definition rush model

People don't like sonic having his mouth in the middle because of how it was portrayed in '06 but it looks fine to me.

@runticks
Agreed. Sonic does not look as weird with a middle mouth as some people act like it does. He does in '06, though, due to the somewhat strange design '06 has for Sonic's face.

This Sonic model has a trick up its sleeve. If you rotate the parent mouth bone, you can easily push the mouth over to the side.
Does anyone know if the other Sonic characters have this trait?

Glad I’m not the only one that prefers Sonic’s mouth in the middle. I see it as the neutral position and would only use the side mouth when he’s smirking

But I have to say, This is one of my favorite sonic models. It kinda looks like a more higher poly black knight model without the armored glove.

Ik Im going to get quite alot of hate for this, but I do prefer sonics mouth to be in the middle most of the time. I can understand his mouth being on the side for renders and shots though.

Will this work in Maya?

sonic mouth is bak in the midle

@Doc von Schmeltwick
I can see where you are coming from and as far as the smirking goes, I can understand that, but when he's doing something other than that, it just looks really off to me. I know this sort of thing is up to preference but I just think the way this model does it is better.

@Ninetales Expressiveness. Also, in the initial 3D non-spinoff game, Sonic Adventure, his mouth was in the center and it ended up looking weird. Though granted, it looked OK until the remake 6 years later exaggerated it, so I guess I don't know all that much. It's a stylization thing, regardless. There's also the fact that in real life, smirks, which are the expressions that he typically has pushed to the side, are indeed pushed towards one cheek or the other.

Finally! One that doesn't make his mouth all weird. Seriously, can someone please tell me why some of the Sonic models push his mouth to the left or right? It's always looked really creepy to me.

How is there chubbyness? He seems to be *skinnier* than the usual Sonic models...

@ohnoimgaynow Classic design is full on chubbyness

@Agimon might be his middle mouth or slight chubbyness

I'm really unsure what is it about this style of 3d Sonic, that I completely hate. The same with his model for Smash, Secret Rings, Black Knight, etc.

Finally, another Rio 2016 model.
