This should probably be called Unagi, since Maw-Ray comes from a game that wasn't even announced during Mario Kart 8's initial release.
Compared to the SMO look of Unagi/Maw-Ray this is much better on the palette.
I rather Unagi than Maw-Ray.

SMO renamed the Unagi to Maw-Ray, which is a much better name in my opinion
Least it isn't as horrifying high poly as it was low poly in SM64
@Goji Unagi and Maw-Ray are the same thing, just with a differently-translated name.

This was the period between. For a very long time, they looked like cheap rubber muppets. In MK8, it looks like The Giant Claw as a worm. In SMO, they're non-sluggish morays.
