I used Paint 3D to open the file. I'm fine with it. Prbably also because I just need it for a cosplay and it's way smoother than the one from Skyward Sword.

The DAE doesn't have facial rigging, but the SMD has everything in the good places, though.
I'm using Blender.

Which program are you using, and which file did you import -- SMD, FBX, DAE or all of them?

She has a very buggy rigging, especially around the head and face, which makes it hard to animate.
