Did all versions of this game's thumbnail on this site change due to being a scary close-up of Werehog's face?

i think it's because this game is so big for a ps2 game, like, too much space in disk, so they tried saving space by lowering the polygon count on the models

i wonder why the models in this game have that super ugly ps1-era polygon jitter...

I dumped my disk weeks ago ready to test it out

Once I'm done ripped the Xbox 360/Ps3 models of Sonic Unleashed I'll rip the Wii version.

@lelanbleeton really? Is that REALLY the only reason?

@lelan That's not it, it's that the Dreamcast didn't make enough money to make up for the money they lost with the poor Western sales of the Saturn (due to them inexplicably putting an idiot that had already been fired from Sony as their manager for who decides what games get ported), and as such they had to downsize to stay in business, which meant they needed to stop making new consoles.

you gotta love how Sega ran out of ideas for their own consoles so they ported their games to someone's else's

Anybody thinking about ripping the stages from regular levels and boss levels?

Wow. This game's comments got a million times spicier than when I last visited.

not hd but still better

Let's see...night stages don't take 40 minutes (and as such, you can save in between and it's easier to retry for A rank), there's a lot less filler crap for towns that is merely empty space, the gates are just cool, you can destroy the giant Interceptor robot, the last battle starts out with a much fairer amount of rings, Sun/Moon medals are obtained by beating stages instead of jumping near to your doom, there's no %&^$*^% "Achievement" crap that can go to hell...the list goes on. Basically, 360/PS3 Sonic Unleashed is Elf Bowling. Much like the 360, and rest of the XBox line entirely, as well as the Playstation line after the PSP.

Doc von Schmeltwick the wii version's gameplay is a heavily watered down version of the HD gameplay i fail to see how it's "infinitely better" when werehog has half the moveset he has in the HD version.

Say what you will about the modeling, the gameplay was infinitely better in the Wii/PS2 version than the "HD" version.

At least instead of playing a 10-20 minute werehog stage you can play four 3-5 minute werehog stages with breaks in between.

eww...wii version
