What are the metal and low light textures for, and how do I use them?

Yeah, this was early in my ripping days
I've planned on adding fixed versions for everything but I don't know where to start

what i did was expand and mirror the textures myself with the original texture anchored in the top left and then shrink and move the uv mapping in blender until it fit. Not ideal, but it works for what I'm using them for.

i know i have to mirror the texture but idk how

So, The _BT textures aren't included.

All karts use a Mirror mapping.

How do I fix the textures in Blender? I imported the body with tires and applied the body_mario image on all the faces of the body, but most of them are mapped improperly.
