What about my explanation for how the Blooper is literally anti-Mario Kart in design because it actively makes the game worse?
Yes I am.
Are you talking about ExoDendrite's explanation about how the Blooper is generally useless or my explanation about how the Blooper goes against the principles of Mario Kart item design?
@ExoDendrite That has to be the best explanation ever.
The Blooper is actually worse than that. Sure, the Blooper hardly does jack squat in games like Wii, but that's not my main problem with the Blooper because I have a far bigger problem with the Blooper that nobody talks about. My main problem with the Blooper is that, in a game all about giving even novice players a fighting chance with items like the Bullet Bill, Star, or Lightning, the Blooper is unfairly harsh to those unfamiliar with the track. If you're an experienced player and you get inked by a Blooper, that ink is hardly going to do anything because you have the layout of the track memorized. Conversely, if you're a new player who's unfamiliar with the track and you get inked by a Blooper, you're at an unfair disadvantage because you don't even know the layouts of the courses to begin with. I wish Nintendo would just get rid of this terrible anti-Mario Kart item.
What even is the point of this item? Yes, its vision-blocking ability can be somewhat effective at times, but it can easily be nullified with a boost, and you can find those on many tracks. Most of the time, it just doesn't do much or even anything at all, so when you're looking for a comeback item like a Star or a Lightning, this is NOT it. At least in Mario Kart 8 (Deluxe) and World, it makes your turning worse, which gives it more of an inherent purpose, but in the other games, there's no point. And for the cherry on top of this shit-cake of an item, using it in first literally inks YOURSELF. At least with the Spiny Shell, its whole point is to target first, so using that in first is an idiot move, but the Blooper doesn't inherently do that. It just targets everyone in front of you, so it's just dumb that it does that. At that point, it may as well actually do nothing.

Looks like there is no smoothing in this preview?
This model looks awfully blocky...
Dear god, The polys. The polys!
