Hey hey heyyy, model fans! What a perfect day for this update to fall on, eh? Happy Pride Month! Be who you aaare! I hope you all are doing swell and flourishing this year. Too bad I forgot to buy some star fox Starbucks coffee yesterday to sip on while writing today's update. It would've fit perfectly with the song quote I chose to reference here... ah, well. Let's see what kinds of colourful models June has in store for us this time!

Starting off, the biggest contributions consist of King's Field I, II & III by thadiusII, followed by a slew of monsters from both Monster Hunter World by ChainTwist and Palworld by stormygaret15 & Grounder respectively. The former and latter offer diverse grab-bags of interesting characters and props as well! The next game is a wholesome team effort comprised of many submissions for the Super Mario RPG remake by various submitters from within our community! A sizable roster of iconic movie characters are taking their shot at recreational racing in DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing, followed by a posse of Heroes from Animal Lords : Merge & Rumble. And I see BillyBnMOfficial is keeping up with their streak of Pixar's Cars across multiple different platforms like Wii, GameCube, PC, and even Xbox 360? The Paper Mario series is getting plenty of love this month, too – with models from Sticker Star, Colour Splash, and most recently, The Thousand-Year Door remake! As for custom submissions, my favourites are definitely Stupid Rat by ZephyrAndromeda and Croaka Cola by Peardian. You should see the amazing promotional poster parody he made to coincide with its release! Hmm, maybe I'll convince him to comment it there one day... as always, there's a ton of other goodies and customs I haven't mentioned here; be sure to check 'em all out sometime!

Submitters, here's a tip from me: making small 145 x 125 icons for your submissions can admittedly be a bit of a hassle. Personally, I use a convenient feature within Daxar's Sprite Sheeter that can quickly and easily crop thumbnails by using it on big icons!

Posted Image

The steps are as follows:
1. Select the "Add Frame Sequence..." button in the upper right corner.
2. Choose the target render you want to make a small icon for.
3. Select the "Save Current Frame as TSR Icon..." button in the middle right side.
4. Adjust the Scale or Offset options to your liking, select the "Save Icon" button, aaaand...

Violà! You've successfully saved yourself from having to create an extra "Model_Render_Icon-Small.blend" file.

Of course, if you want to make scenes specifically for small thumbnails with differences from the big icons in one way or another, don't let me stop you! This method is pretty much for convenience's sake. Whatever fits your preferences and goals should suffice just fine.

Just think, "What would dodos do?" Stay fresh, and stay off the hook!
