@SONICKABOOM Given I've heard tell the Saturn is ridiculously-difficult to emulate, that may have a little to do with it. These were submitted by a developer.

        this is it?
just sonic x-treme?
what about sonic R, sonic jam, the other saturn games?

@KFJ As stated before, these are the models that the prerendered sprites were made from. One of the developers graciously posted them here.

Were these the models actually used? They look like models that would be pre-rendered or scaled down due to hardware restrictions, in my opinion.

Are we gonna get any other Saturn models soon?

        impressive!

@Magron As said in the bottom of the comments here, one of the developers apparently kept some of the production models around and submitted them.

It baffles me how anyone was able to rip these. Good stuff nonetheless.

This reminds me of the SBSP SuperSponge source file leaks

It's really cool seeing these models! I feel they were used for early cutscenes, but i could be wrong. I'd love to see Tiara's model someday if her model could ever be recovered. :] Love these models.

I saw somewhere some footage of Tiara Boobowski in Sonic X-Treme,but this game is cancelled just like Jazz Jackrabbit 3.Maybe I'm wrong, but I hope someone will make her at least as 3d model.

Kinda look like these would be Gamecube models to me.

Sonic Cult says these were NOT the ones used to make the spritesheets, but are real and were planned to be used in the PC version, for cutscenes and such.

no, these are very much real. they may not be the in-game ones, but chris senn himself made these models.

This is fake asf. literally just someone trying to get anonymous attention for they're garbage model skills. This doesn't resemble literally anything we've ever seen from the game ever. https://media.sonicscanf.org//gallery/sonic-the-hedgehog/sonic-x-treme.png https://i.ytimg.com/vi/2z45v3s_CuA/hqdefault.jpg https://www.spriters-resource.com/resources/sheet_icons/26/28326.png I mean just look at the OFFICIAL SPRITES, it clearly wasn't the models used for the sprites and they're has never been any reference to tails being in the game.

        I like the saturn

We'll probably never see the ones from Rare's Donkey Kong games. They were stored on floppy disks, and when they were doing the GBA remakes, they wanted to use the original models...only to discover that most of the floppies were missing, and of the few they had left, the data was difficult to decrypt on modern computers. Oh, well...

i really like 3d models being used to make pre rendered graphics i was thinking of doing the same thing with some of my own games

@MarshShell there not fake. they where used in the cutceans in XTREME and MARS

If only Nintendo did this with SM64 and SMRPG! If you have any more of these dev. models, I'm exited!
