Yeah, PS2 version was just Wii version without the fancy graphics as well, like Sonic was flat, game had no bloom and most confusingly... no quill animations for Sonic when he's running/boosting... like Wii had.
Honestly, I prefer the PS2 version over the PS3/360 version due to the final boss alone, the PS2 version kept it nice, simple and to the point
@_yotis, it was a scaled-down port of the PS3/Xbox 360 version, basically the Wii version but with no motion control. It was released as the PS2 was still doing well. This is actually the version I remember playing, and was the reason why I didn't understand why people hated Eggman Land's Werehog stage (it's split up into 3 stages for this version).
I don't remember sonic unleashed being available on ps2
