dunno what you're on about @Eeveeloverthespriter8, but spyroedit/genesis only crashed on me on 3 levels combined on all three games, and the rest of the models were pretty OK when recompiled, having a face with the normals flipped is acceptable since this isn't like taking the original models files but a compiled for PS1 models (in a very hacky method), which are two different beasts. With that said, the tool was abandoned not because of DMCA fear (reverse engineering isn't DMCA-able lol), where did you hear that bs? he simply left it as is, since it's basically "complete" in his eyes.
Maybe you simply need to properly configure both emulator and plugin.

Spyroedit as brilliant as it is however is flawed, certain models such as spike cause Genesis to crash and yet other models such as Scorch appear missing chunks of their geometry not to mention certain textures when exported(such as the breakable wall texture) come out a glitched up mess. Whats worse is the creator of it abandoned the tool in fear of getting a DMCA takedown notice.

From what I've heard, this game's glitches got fixed in the Greatest Hits release.

Character Models should be rippable once Spyro Edit Genesis comes out, from the sounds of it model export should be a thing. Don't get your hopes up just yet as I am just going by what I saw in the comments of his video
