Does whatever a Pepsi can
I know you said that like 3 years ago but I personally enjoy rigging basic lowpoly models such as this and rigging is MUCH MUCH EASIER than vertex animating.

We really don't like to rig models, but there one other thing for animation that the ps1 uses called, "Vertex Animation". By moving the vertexes on the model into a desired pose.
:D Now someone rig him some bones and port it to XPS, SFM etc etc
