IDK, it's not much of an improvement.

Can't believe it took 14 years to improve a model from 2008..

How do you texture the eyes?

I'm not sure if I am just looking at it wrong but when I view the weight paints I can only see the shoes and gloves. The bones are also rotated weirdly as in they don't line up with the body they just all face Up on the arms(I am using blender it might just be something weird with compatibility issues)

I hate how the mouth is open.

I like how sonic and his friends have this fur texture to them its a pretty nice detail i also like how sonics shoes are dirtier to show that they've been used a lot the Fresnel effect that they have in game also looks really good

~36,000 tris. This is the highest poly in-game Sonic model to date.
@WarGrey I did include a baked black and white fur texture for reasons like this; you can use it to make an overlay over the color texture, make a specular texture, a normal map, etc, for more games or programs that use much more basic shading and make it at least look similar to how it would in game

Due to how shaders were made in the game and maps it uses, it's really hard to make a good optimized avatar for VRChat out of this that looks close enough to the in game looks sigh... No, not to the PC version but for the Quest port of the game. :/
