Really, everyone's been using the same standardized model sets since Sonic Unleashed and/or Generations. They're just up/downscaled to suit the needs of the game they're used in. IIRC, the Frontiers models are the same ones except in a higher poly count and more prominent fur texturing.
Also, I love how this model is LITERALLY just the Lost World model, but optimised for use in the game. Nice work, SEGA and Sonic Team.
He’s rougher than leather. His name is Knuckles. Unlike Sonic, he won’t chuckle.
