Wow, thank you!
I'm very late, but no that's wrong actually. There's actually two versions of Rana in the game's files (technically four, but the third and fourth are duplicates). "test.md3" contains Rana who is in a looped running animation (like you described), while "test2.md3" contains Rana in a stationary t-pose that doesn't animate (seen here). Most versions of Indev that have Rana in them only have the latter "test2.md3" model and don't even have the running animation in the files.
The running animation version was never actually implemented in any available version of the game, being unused and only existing in the files of the first two versions of Indev. All the other Indev versions with Rana removed that file since it was unused and only feature the stationary t-pose "test2.md3" model.

I thought the original way shape key animated and didn't have bones so how did you get it into a T-pose?
No way!
shes kinda cute ngl
Into Mario Kart 7 you go
She shares her name with my favorite Vocaloid!
@Aquaileron I always thought it wouldn't be possible to get these models but it turned out that the models were stored in the same format that Quake uses. I know next to nothing about Quake, but what I do know is that there's plenty of model related tools for quake so I gave those a shot and voila: I got the model.
Steve/Black Steve/Beast Boy are a different story though, I can get them BUT they're animated using absolute shape keys instead of an armature, which means the base A-Posing model of them simply doesn't exist anymore (asides from a development folder some where on an old harddrive in Notch's house, lol)
