china really loved making anything that was red into green
Yeah, honestly, some chinese Yo-kai have very random or minor changes, and others like Goemon are like playing spot the difference where you can barely even notice the change.
At least they gave us some cool redesigns that could almost be considered a separate Yo-kai and my favorite change, they transformed Overseer into Boogerseer (I still can't believe they made him green)

true, ngl im still shocked about some of the other minor changes they made like iirc nates raincoat loses its star pattern or nekidspeed and mimikens shorts
Honestly, it was pretty obvious this was going to happen, if the game had been released in the West they probably would have done the same thing.
The weird part about Hot Pot case is that they censored the game, but his appearance in the Chinese version of the Shadowside anime is untouched
