Fun fact: Super Mario Maker 2 reuses Miitomo models for some of the outfits, the Mario and Luigi outfits being lifted directly from Miitomo's Mario outfit for example.

@JonGandee My guess is that they have an arrange of models, and when users place it down, it cycles to find the correct model, and then stamps it on to tile it was placed. Don't take my word though.
