LOD is short for Level of Detail, the mesh swaps to a lower LOD mesh whenever the game needs it to.
The usual reason for doing so being: A model being so far away from the camera to the point where it would be a waste of resources to render the fully detailed mesh.

why is there 3 idential models for each the body, eyes and pant ? i'll take the body for instance the first one is just named "M_Body" then the 2 others "M_Body (LOD: 2)" and "M_Body (LOD: 3)"

what does the LOD mean ?

EDIT : i just noticed LOD 2 has less poly, and LOD 3 even less, can someone tell me why ? is it the only difference ?

@CrownGamer901 No instead they made his hair solid red and use the MAi png has AO. So you and it over solid red

@Noah Infinity but what im wondering is how they do the shaders for the renders? Do they just perfectly recreate it or is it a plugin that lets them directly import the shaders?
