Personally, I love the Mii's and I see great potential for them to be used for more than just Sports, Mario Kart, & Smash (among other things like RPG's), but I don't like for the fact that people are wanting these characters to get exiled before we could see their potential outside of being Sports Avatars. I like these characters and the modern charm they bring, and I think they deserve more love & respect, both by fans and Nintendo. #Sportsmates4ever #SportsmatesXmiis

You guys know that Miis are still in the game, right? You don't HAVE to play as one of these guys. I'll be honest they're not as bad as people make them out to be they look neat

These designs are enjoyable than the bland miis.
Besides, they're more suitable for Mii Fighters since the usual facial textures clashes with the DLC costumes.

These designs make me wanna tie my feet to a brick and drop it off a building support these more than the Miis.

I'm torn on these designs. On the one hand, they look pretty cool, but on the other hand, there's something a bit generic about them.
One of the YouTubers I was watching (Nintendo Life, I think?) described them as looking more like something designed for Xbox, and yeah, I can totally see it!

It's curious how despite of being more detailed that Miis, they are severely lacking in customization (only one head type, only one body type, only one type of nose, only round eyes) compared to the more abstract yet near-infinite mix&match combinations of features with the Miis, able to recreate non-human characters with some imagination, needless to say Miitopia HD's artistic capabilities.
Hell, even the Animal Crossing villagers can be made more unique than these, when they clearly take big inspiration of how customization worked in the last game.
You look at the Sportsmates on the participants screen and if it's mostly Sportsmates, all posing the same with the same expression with different accessories, it really looks like something you see in a NFT marketplace...

Mii thinks these character designs suck. Great job at ripping them though
