I wish i could rip these on linux to be honest

@Fawfulthegreat64 If it's any help, there's special versions of uModel that are capable of extracting the facial morphs (albeit as separate meshes per morph currently).
I can try ripping Mario and Luigi's morphs and recombine them in Blender to submit to here along with the rigging.

@Fawfulthegreat64 Thanks, I’m happy I’ve managed to extract some. Very useful.

Most of the models I've ripped myself have perfectly good skeletons and the only part that relies on the morphers is the face, usually just the mouth. I think there's merit in including the skeleton itself even if that part can't be ripped yet, as that makes the rip far more useful than just foregoing the entire rig. Some people just want to make simple pose renders and don't need the complex face control (or can manually do that part)

Finally! We can have Super Mario Bros. Z in 3D!

@Iquizx1 If you've gotten the files extracted to .psk format for the models, you can use this Blender addon to import them into Blender: https://github.com/Befzz/blender3d_import_psk_psa (I prefer converting the .psa animations into .smd though since directly importing the psa has never worked for me)
If you haven't been able to extract from the file archives at all, make sure you use the build of umodel that's linked, and specify the path that the packed files are in. You'll then at some point need to specify the UE4 version which is 4.27, but it will ask you this if needed.
EDIT: Just submitted Grampy Turnip

@Chonginator: all of the models here so far were ripped by Centrixe the Dodo. He also happens to be one of the staff members around here so he doesn't need to go through the queue.

Is it just me or are the models going up quickly?

@Fawfulthegreat64 I’m confused on how to extract the models, I already have the files. I went by the link you posted but that only further added to my confusions. Is there any way I could get a more in-depth tutorial?

Anyone else afraid this game will sell so poorly that it will cause the death of the Mario & Luigi subseries? I'm not the only one who fears that, right?

The models aren't hard to rip. I've already ripped Reclusa and while it's not complete enough to post here, it is perfectly suitable for the purposes of posing and rendering, with some manual adjustments to the texture mapping. There's a Blender addon for directly importing .psk models, and the .psa animations can even be converted to smd with Noesis and work flawlessly when imported onto the models in Blender in my experience. The outlines need to be manually re-added using a solidify modifier, until I find out if there's a better solution for that. See here to get started ripping: https://www.gildor.org/smf/index.php?topic=9111.0

As a 3D print and Blender enthusiast, I know that (whenever they get here, and this is not a request) The Extension Corps and Reclusa are gonna be a PAIN to pose without bones. Connie was fine, due to her simplistic design, but with those wires, and cloak and other detailed stuff? just download one of the models from Metroid Other M and pose them to be like the smash 4 trophies using only edit mode for the mesh. Only then will you truly know my pain.

How does the game do the outlines? The models I've downloaded, and those I've ripped, have nothing related to that in their meshes. Is it something you need to reconstruct from scratch to get the appearance they have in-game?

@B1uelight The Models are rigged but the versions on here arent

I guess the "Z" in some characters' names means "zombie", which is when they got glhomed

Whaaaat?! This game literally JUST CAME OUT a couple days ago! And it's already here!? Wowee, you guys are fast.

damn that was fast

I love this game's artstyle soooo much.

Wait, so they animated these guys with nothing but shape keys or something to that effect?

Shoutout to "Shapey-Shift Wonder" from the Nintendo Music app and this specific song by Madison Beer for being my soundtrack to ripping these. OBJ for now, as the characters for this game are extra complicated; morphers and multiple UV channels for the eyes and pupils, which are affected by said morphers! Cooking up a way to get 'em with rigs fully working soon.
